Job Description: OVERVIEW:

 Responsible primarily for OSHA General and Construction industry regulatory compliance.
 Assist in development and implementation of programs ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits for Environmental Health and Safety.
 Develops, and coordinates educational programs and materials regarding Environmental Health and Safety compliance
 Provides instructions to management and team members, using a variety of teaching mediums.
 Compile, distribute, analyze and act on safety performance data.
 Conduct safety inspections and audits to determine site and program status and needs.
 Conduct incident and accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
 Plan and conduct EH&S training.
 Communicate safety results, best practices and other significant information to appropriate individuals on a regular and timely basis.
 Ensure emergency response procedures are current and reflect site activities.
 Must have good interpersonal/leadership skills and be able to interface with all departments and associate levels.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Health and Safety Field and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in management of OSHA, EPA and DOT systems, implementing policies and procedures and training.
 All skill sets as stated below.

OR

 Seven (7) years' related experience in management of OSHA, EPA or DOT systems, implementing policies and procedures and training.
 MUST be able to convey OSHA, EPA, or DOT regulatory information to all levels of management, union and non-union employees.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and organizational skills, strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite.
 Demonstrated ability to apply and understand basic to advanced mathematical concepts.
 MUST be able to pass minimum required standard on all competency tests.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those one encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 Exposed to mobile work locations, air travel, driving in unfamiliar locations with directions provided, may occasionally stay in temporary lodgings such as hotels.
 Will occasionally work within a classroom setting from conference rooms to maintenance shops to conduct requested services.
 May also be required to be outdoors exposed to weather conditions of all types in the application of his/her duties based on client needs and requirements for hands-on training.
 The noise level in the work environment will vary based on location.
 Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
 Willing to be able to occasionally work irregular hours to meet needs of client production schedules.
 Potential to work from Client and/or Home Office based on needs of the business.
