Ladies and Gentlemen; On this National Day of Prayer lift up our fellow Texans and Americans in need, those who are sick, and those who are in mourning.

I pray for the future of this country; for brighter and more prosperous days ahead. I pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform who are serving at home and abroad, and the fallen heroes and their families who paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms and way of life.
