... that today is Delta Blues Day? In 1911, Robert Johnson, known as the King of the Delta Blues, was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. His landmark recordings display a combination of singing, guitar skills, and songwriting talent that have
influenced later generations of musicians. Eric Clapton has
called Johnson "the most important blues singer that ever
lived."
