Did you know...
... that today is the birthday of Title 9? In 1972, the U.S. Congress passed the Higher Education Act of 1972. Title IX of
this act barred sex discrimination in sports at colleges receiving federal aid. This act helped to create many more opportunities for women to participate in college sports.
