Did you know...
... that today is the birthday of the Weisswurst? In 1857,
German butcher Ewige Lampe created a new sausage, weisswurst, when he was sent wider sausage casings than he had ordered. To ground veal, he added diced bacon, lemon rind, onion, salt, parsley, and white pepper. Yum!
