... that today is the anniversary of Silent Night? In 1808, Franz Gruber of Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria, composed the
music for the Christmas carol, "Silent Night." Father Joseph
Mohr wrote the words. The song, then known as "Stilla Nacht,"
was first sung at the Church of St. Nikolaus. Celebrate today
by singing some favorite songs with your loved ones.
