Did you know...
... that today is The Great Mower Odyssey Anniversary? In
1995, Alvin Straight took 41 days (from July 5 to August 15)
to go 240 miles from his home in Laurens, Iowa, to his brother's home near Blue River, Wisconsin - using a John Deere lawn mower since he couldn't see well enough to drive a car.
