My posts are Positive Motivational Quotes, some might be thought provoking; I do not intend them to be controversial. Life is tough, there is so much negativity in our world. I want to share a bit of positive with you! Thanks! Gary Dean

... that today is Niagara Falls Tightrope Day? In 1859, Frenchman Charles Blondin aka Jean Francois Gravelet crossed
Niagara Falls on a tightrope! It took him five minutes. 25,000
spectators stood and stared as he made his way across the
falls in a most dangerous Odyssey... one he had made several times before on stilts; carrying another man on his back; pushing a wheelbarrow; and even once, blindfolded. What some people do with nothing but spare time on their hands.

"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the
better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your
coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble."

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it. If you don't, you will leak away your innate contentment."

"When you are a grateful about your past, no matter how painful it was, you know you are healed. When you are healed you are free to create the new life of your dreams!
Cuando llegas a estar agradecido por tu pasado aun por las experiencias más dolorosas quiere decir que te has sanado y solo cuando sanas eres libre para crear la nueva vida de tus sueños!"

"Do not let yourselves be discouraged or embittered by the smallness of the success you are likely to achieve in trying
to make life better. You certainly would not be able, in a single generation, to create an earthly paradise. Who could expect that? But, if you make life ever so little better, you will have done splendidly, and your lives will have been worthwhile."

Dear Mom,
HAPPY MOTHER’s Day!
I wanted to send up a note to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day and of course say Hi! It’s been over eight years since we last had an opportunity to speak and look at each other face to face. I will remember that conversation and the look on your face for the rest of my life! Yes, I’m sure you remember the conversation too. The look on your face was one that showed great pride and true joy!
I could stop and tell you about all the ups, downs, challenges and adversity I have been through during that time, but I’m sure you have the inside scoop. The important part is that I get down on my knees each morning and thank God for letting me wake up and I ask for forgiveness for my sins. I still smile a lot, that’s what everybody says; of course if you would spend a few days around me, you would notice that I don’t smile as much as I used too. (Don’t worry, no one down here picks up on it, I stay on the move most of the time and I still smile enough for people to wonder what’s going on and what I’m up to.) I work hard to make each day worth the price I pay. I strive to keep it positive and focus on surrounding myself with positive people and try to avoid negative people and negative situations. It’s a different day and time around here. Hard to explain, but it’s different…not bad, just different.
Yes, as you know, the divorce happened, It has been tough on all involved. There were so many things going on at many levels. Most importantly I am focused and continue to move forward.
I did make a HUGE mistake! Do you want to know what it was? I forgot the recipe for the Iced Tea! Yeah, every now and then I’ll find a restaurant that comes close. What’s wild is that I still have some of my High School and College buddies that remember your Iced Tea. I thought that would bring a smile to your face.
Mom, HAPPY MOTHER’s Day. Feliz Dia de las Madres, Te quiero mucho!
I love you, Mom!
Gary :-)

I love you, Mom!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.. So love the people who treat you right.. Forget about the
ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
