Did you know...
... that today is Flight of a Lawn Chair Day? In 1982, Larry
Wadsworth made the first airborne flight in a lawn chair
(lifted by a dozen plus balloons). He got as high as 16,000 feet before he began shooting down a few balloons with his BB
pistol so he could descend. He landed safely. Kids, don't try
this at home!

Did you know...
... that today is TV Commercial Day? In 1941, the first television commercial aired. Costing $9.00, the commercial promoted Bulova wristwatches. Shown at the start of a Brooklyn Dodgers - Philadelphia Phillies game, it was a simple, silhouetted map of the country centered with a Bulova clock and captioned, "America Runs On Bulova Time."
